  1. It’s pretty clear that lockdowns caused this, not Covid-19. But nobody wanted to even consider the possibility that they could be doing more harm than good because of political ‘do something’ bias and the visibility bias and of direct Covid-19 deaths compared to the less direct effects of lockdowns like this, substance abuse, etc.

To turn around the question ‘But you want Grandma to die’ Did anyone ask Grandma if this and the numerous other problems lockdowns caused young children is what she wanted for her Grandchildren?

  2. I would’ve got fat too if I didn’t spend my entire break time and after school playing football at that age. Would’ve lost my mind being locked up in my house. To be fair, we didn’t have tiktok or iphones this advanced 15 years ago which has surely contributed to unhealthy lifestyles.

  3. This is a four percent rise. It didn’t soar, it inched up a bit faster than usual.

British kids already had serious problems because their parents eat crap (highest UPF consumption in Europe – over 50% of their diet – five times the rate in Portugal).

I mean they were born in a country that thinks flavor is something the factory puts in their bag of fried potatoes. Those poor kids were doomed to being the Scottish character in Goldmember from the start.

  4. So many fat people I see around now, if we’re not careful we are going to be the USA of Europe. People here don’t seem to want to prepare fresh food themselves or can’t cook, I blame oven dinners.

  5. When I was at that age,you could saw my ribs.lol,I would run across the streets without shirt, and play football for entire day,ah good times.

  6. Ugh reminds me how I’ve gained like 5kg in the last year.

I really need to stop snacking at night and go for more walks to get out of the house. Remote work is going to kill me.
