Only 295 for a Monday night in the Alex hotel Dublin recently no breakfast
I don’t get it… 🛫🤔🛬
Bend over let ye
For context, that’s a clip from the music video of ‘Uncle Mike’ by Foster & Allen. Lyrically it’s actually not too bad of a song, about a boy singing of his bachelor uncle.
As a total side point, Foster & Allen were *very* much aware of the whole shtick when it came to playing up to the foreign audience.
Ya lets price out the tourist as well as ourselves genius, theres not enough charm in the world to make this racket keep ticking.
to be fair one of the big reasons irish tourism is so expensive is because it caters heavily to rich americans
Thankfully you lot are exceptionally hospitable and I’ll be couch-surfing during my holiday in August
So this story on the news really pissed me off.
Demand and supply is how pricing works. If people don’t want to go they won’t pay these crazy prices. I’d they do, they’ll pay.
The more of these eejits that want to come over the more they’ll all end up paying.
Nobody is forcing them to come visit. It’s personal choice. If it’s too expensive then just leave it and go somewhere in your price bracket. Enough people think that way and prices will fall.

That is the greatest music video ever made.
Odd thing is it’s the same here on this side of the pond. Not even in big cities like Boston. [Charging $500/night in Providence this weekend.](https://www.google.com/travel/hotels/Providence%2C%20RI?q=providence%20ri%20hotel&g2lb=2502548%2C2503771%2C2503781%2C4258168%2C4270442%2C4284970%2C4291517%2C4306835%2C4515404%2C4597339%2C4649665%2C4722900%2C4723331%2C4733969%2C4757164%2C4758194%2C4758493%2C4762561%2C4777462%2C4778034%2C4778403%2C4779395%2C4779784%2C4786153%2C4786958%2C4789857%2C4790928&hl=en-US&gl=us&cs=1&ssta=1&ts=CAESCgoCCAMKAggDEAAaWgo8EhA6DlByb3ZpZGVuY2UsIFJJGigKEgndfLZ0aedEQBEeK3bpHttRwBISCQ5sm5Rh7ERAER4rdkF92VHAEhoSFAoHCOYPEAUYGxIHCOYPEAUYHRgCMgIQACoLCgcoAToDVVNEGgA&rp=OAFAAEgCogEOUHJvdmlkZW5jZSwgUkk&ap=KigKEgndfLZ0aedEQBEeK3bpHttRwBISCQ5sm5Rh7ERAER4rdkF92VHAMAJoAA&ictx=1&utm_campaign=sharing&utm_medium=link&utm_source=htls&ved=0CAAQ5JsGahcKEwjo7uah9P_3AhUAAAAAHQAAAAAQAw)
