First off, not a nationalist. Just a moron.
Second off, got Ireland and Britain had broken off of mainland Europe about 6000-8000 BC, so they could’ve very well just walked there.
I’m sure there will be no straw-manning in this thread.
The American ones send the Irish ones guns!
American Republicans don’t really stand for a republic. They’re sell outs.

I was just thinking today how “Republican” has such a different meaning here compared to the US.
Can someone explain the difference to me please
Actually if you think about it they both stood for the same things…
It’s just that all pressure groups seem to want to stay about forever… I mean if you look at it the Americans have had a republic since 1776? It’s like yeah you lads got that… so what are we doing now?

American here. Ballinrobe decent. First time I visited Ireland I was 16. I remember drinking and talking with folks in the pubs.
I had been told stories of the Irish republicans- thats who we need to fight the dirty American republicans over here.
The larger fight making Ireland whole again, and represented by its own people. Just revolts and revolutions everywhere- around the world. It’s time. 🍄

Yesterday’s one was better
Can someone explain how they are different? Sorry for my ignorance.
Both are bad
Nah, Republican nationalism in ireland very often dips its Irish supremacy and racism. It’s why the “alt right” in ireland are mostly SF voters.
One should be always wary of those who treat Nationalism like a religion.
I appreciate that I usually see one or two of these posts when some weird shite goes down in the US.
