  1. Leithéad is an interesting word.

    It means roughly “the like of (something)” usually in reference to something that is rare, and great.

    A common phrase that comes from one of the authors from the Blaskets (name escapes me) is *Ní bheidh a leithéad arís ann* which we means “we’ll not of the likes of them again” and commonly used at funerals
