It was also unfair to have piss ups while not allowing the rest of us to see our dying loved ones.
And what about the students who were fined £10k when the PM was fined £50 for the same thing?
No it isn’t, you set the rules, follow them.
Don’t break the law problem solved?
We need the report released and to establish what was communicated to junior staff in regards to these gatherings.
If senior staff encouraged junior staff members to attend these gathers or provided assurances they were within guidlines. If this advice resulted in the junior staff getting fined and not the senior leaders then it will be a travesty of justice.
>”Typically they are getting fined for events they were at with their males bosses who seem to have got away no problem.”
Time to start leaking everything then
I might have imagined this, please correct me if this never happened.
But I’m pretty sure a report a few months ago implied one of the parties was a karaoke party?
I’m pretty sure group singing was entirely forbidden. The West end was closed, local choirs couldn’t practice and yet this carried on?
Like I said, maybe this never happened, but it would explain why they only investigated ‘2 of the 6 events.’. Presumably the ones they investigated were the least egregious.
Do they expect people who were not there to be fined too? Fines have gone to those who have conclusively found to have broken the rules, it is not the police’s fault if all those involved have close links to the Tories and Number Ten, those are the only people who attended after all.
Too many fines?

Reality has a left wing bias…
