  1. I’d assume it’s because some of the transfer trains are managed by a company that’s isn’t part of the OneTicket system.

  2. The train ticket buying situation in Czechia is quite complicated and can be very confusing.

There are 4 different companies operating on Czech railways – [České dráhy (ČD)](https://www.cd.cz/default.htm), [LeoExpress](https://www.leoexpress.com/cs), [RegioJet](https://regiojet.cz) and [Arriva](https://www.arriva.cz). Each of them sell tickets individually and have their own sites and apps for that.

Then there’s [OneTicket](https://oneticket.cz/home) which serves as a single point to buy ticket for any operator. The advantage being you don’t need to worry about which operator are you buying the ticket from, they are all there at the same place. But the ticket is slightly more expensive that way.

The app in the post is ČD app which can be IMO very confusing. What you are looking at is basically part time table, part ČD ticket shop and part OneTicket shop. You can see all the trains, not just the ČD ones (although I believe ČD trains are preferred by the app) and not just the trains of the operators that participate in OneTicket system.

    * If the train is ČD train, you will see a ČD price
    * If it’s not ČD train, you will see OneTicket price
    * If it’s operator that doesn’t participate in OneTicket, you won’t be able to buy and it’s basically just a time table at this point

In your case, the problem is the train no. OS 5445 which goes from Děčín to Rumburk. This train passes trough Germany and is operated by Deutsche Bahn on the German portion of the track. Because of that, ČD will only sell you the ticket if you get off the train in parts of the track they operate on, which are the parts in Czechia. They have no means of selling you the ticket for German part of the track as they are not the operator on that section and Deutsche Bahn doesn’t participate in OneTicket.

You can buy the ticket from Ostrava to Děčín from the app no problem. For the ticket from Děčín to Bad Schandau you will need to buy it in person, either in train or in Děčín station, or you can try to buy it online on [DB site](https://www.bahn.de).
