British Airways passengers warned of holiday chaos as Heathrow Airport staff set to vote on strike

  1. So that’s the railways and now BA likely on strike this summer. Few more sectors and we could have a fun summer.
Someone get on the blower to the civil servants that are getting sacked get them involved.
Fuck it teachers too, though would have less effect during summer I guess.

  2. Flew with BA 4 times last month. Never again.

First flight was cancelled less than 8 hours before take off. Didn’t get any sort of notification, we just happened to check our flight status before going to bed. That cut my weekend trip from 3 days to 2 days, missed opportunity to see lots of family.

Second flight into Heathrow was fine (Saw Floyd Mayweather Sr struggle to use the automatic passport reader, so that was fun)

Third flight the toilet wouldn’t flush so they wouldn’t let us take off. Attempted to fix the issue on tarmac for 2 hours while we were stuck in the hot as fuck plane. They couldn’t fix it and eventually an engineer said the issue should resolve itself at a high altitude. We take off, 20 minutes into the 2 HR flight and toilet still isn’t working. They attempt to detour and return to Heathrow but eventually turn around again once the toilet begins to function at a higher altitude.

Fourth flight into Heathrow go through the process of having our pram left at the cabin door as we had a ton of bags and quite literally couldn’t carry our gear plus a baby and potentially a stroppy toddler. Land at brand-new
Heathrow and pram is nowhere to be seen. I struggle to carry all our luggage in multiple trips and then our kids only to find our pram going around the luggage conveyer with the ‘return to cabin door’ label still firmly attached to the handle.
