There’s only one thing they should do.
Resign, and let the people replace these idiotic brexit extremists with literally anyone else.
It’s help us or keep companies happy. No prizes for guessing which of those they are going ahead with. We have a government who are more interested in helping themselves than those who they are supposed to govern and represent. When that changes we might see a government that does something to mitigate a cost of living crisis.
