Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor and her husband have been flooded with supportive messages following a heartwarming post on social media. Sally first appeared on the ITV soap in 1986 in the role of Sally and has recently marked four decades on the famous cobbles. Over the years, she’s undoubtedly become an iconic figure in the soap world, featuring in numerous major storylines.

Whether it’s her harrowing cancer diagnosis or her string of unsuccessful relationships on the street, Sally’s journey in Weatherfield has been packed with drama. Currently, her character and on-screen husband Tim (Joe Duttine) are navigating marital difficulties.

Off-screen, however, actress Sally enjoys a happy marriage with her real-life husband Tim. The pair wed in 1995 and share three children together: Phoebe, Samuel and Hattie.

Sally’s husband Tim has carved out a successful career as a screenwriter, contributing to ITV’s Emmerdale, alongside television dramas The Drowning and Desperate Measures, reports the Mirror.

Recently, Sally treated fans to a glimpse of her personal life with Tim by posting on Instagram. She uploaded multiple photographs from their Icelandic getaway, showcasing the couple enjoying spectacular scenery.

Her caption read: “Well that was an adventure. What a wonderful, beautiful country Iceland is.” Predictably, followers and fellow cast members responded enthusiastically to the post.

Jane Danson commented: “Pretty special I really want to go again. Glad you had a fab time Sal.”

Sally Ann Matthews wrote: “Oh wowzers,” whilst Jude Riordan revealed: “I’m going next week!”

Meanwhile, last year, Sally disclosed that she and Tim are eager to embrace fresh adventures and tackle new challenges. This outlook stems partly from both being cancer survivors – Tim received his diagnosis in 2023 and, like Sally, has thankfully recovered completely.

Resolved to savour every moment, the couple recently fulfilled a dream trip from their ‘bucket list’ to Japan. Speaking to The Mirror, she explained: “Going through something like that makes you want to embrace life all the more.

“We’d love to do more travelling. We’re trying really hard to just do lots of lovely things while we can. You just don’t know what’s round the corner, do you? That’s why we’ve decided we should do a couple of our bucket list things.

“We all put stuff off and think ‘it’s too expensive, I’m not going to do that.’ But we’re in our 60s now and this is the time to be doing these things.”
