US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is expected to lead a large American delegation to the Munich Security Conference.

It is an event that will focus on turbulent geopolitics, organizers said Monday.

More than 60 heads of state and government and around 100 foreign and defense ministers will participate in security policy talks from February 13 to 15.

As further noted, Rubio will lead a US delegation that will also include about 50 members of the US Congress, Wolfgang Ischinger, director of the event, said at a press conference.

Asked if he expected Rubio to repeat JD Vance’s attack on Europe, Ischinger replied: “I’m assuming… that we can expect the US Secretary of State to speak about US foreign policy and not about issues that do not fall directly under his purview.”

About half of the American delegation will be Democrats, including California Governor Gavin Newsom, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ischinger said. /Telegrafi/
