Cyprus Duty Free local spirits

The bespoke Zivania is aged in oak barrels.

Cyprus Duty Free has expanded its award-winning spirits portfolio with a selection of newly commissioned exclusive bottlings.

The additions align with the retailer’s product development focus, which has seen several successful private label liquor launches in recent years, including the multi-award-winning Ovis Whisky and Lambouri Lion Spirit XO Brandy.

Cyprus Duty Free said its Product Development team prioritise working with the best local and artisan producers, in order to source unique products and experiences for passengers travelling through its stores at Larnaca and Pafos International Airports.

The most recent additions to the retailer’s spirits line-up include Aged Zivania 50cl. This traditional alcoholic drink of Cyprus is registered as a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) product, and is made from local Cypriot grape varieties of Xynisteri & Mavro.

This bespoke Zivania is aged in oak barrels, giving it rich, refined notes of vanilla, caramel and spices.

Another addition is Silky Crown Cream Liqueur 70cl, described as a smooth, blended liqueur that combines cream with whiskey. Rounding out the new additions are Ouzo 70cl – a traditional PGI aperitif made from grape pomace and a blend of aromatic spices – and Arak 70cl, a rich anise-flavoured spirit with deep cultural ties to the Middle East region.
