Ukraine, Moldova agree to continue work on simplifying border crossing procedures – Svyrydenko

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko and Prime Minister of Moldova Alexandru Munteanu discussed trade and economic cooperation, in particular, they agreed to continue work on simplifying border crossing procedures.

“We discussed all key areas and priorities for state development. First of all, trade and economic cooperation… We agreed to continue work on simplifying border crossing procedures and developing border infrastructure, which should primarily speed up the passage of border zones,” Svyrydenko said during statements to the media together with her Moldovan colleague in Kyiv.

The parties also discussed possible infrastructure projects, in particular, the development of urban transport across the Dnister River, the settlement of Yampil.

Svyrydenko said that during the meeting, the possibility of increasing the storage of gas reserves in Ukraine was also discussed.

The prime ministers agreed to meet together with Romania in April in Odesa Triangle format to deepen cooperation in the security sector.
