Today is the Israeli prime minister’s seventh visit to the United States since President Trump began his second term in January 2025. Speaking to the press at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport before his departure, Netanyahu confirmed that discussions with Trump “will cover a range of topics, including Gaza and, first and foremost, negotiations with Iran.” The prime minister explained that, during the visit, he will present his country’s vision to the US president “regarding the principles of these negotiations—the essential principles that, in my view, are important not only for Israel, but for everyone in the world who desires peace and security in the Middle East.” In addition to his seven trips to the US, Netanyahu also mentioned Trump’s “unforgettable” visit to Israel and his speech to the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, last October. “I think these meetings reflect the extraordinary closeness and exceptional relationship we have with the United States, which I personally have with the President, and which the State of Israel has with the United States – a relationship unprecedented in our history,” the prime minister said.
