Everyone has. Riga is known for its sprats in oil. It’s really good btw.
u will need some dark (rye) bread and onions with that. Some eat them together with boiled eggs (bread, eggs, tomatoes, sprat fish), but I like to keep it simple.
It’s the food of gods in my personal opinion.
These should be good. Gamma-a is known for quality products.
Don’t leave us hanging, tell us how you enjoyed the pinnacle of our cuisine.
1. Put some sliced white bread into oven for a few minutes until it is slightly crispy, but not completely dry
2. Pour some mayo on top of the bread
3. Add some sprats
4. Enjoy
Not to ruin the moment for you, but there is a slight chance these sprats not only have not seen Riga, but never even been in Latvia 😀
Its somehow have been a trend to use Latvian language on sprats that even have been manufactured in Russia. Yes, Russian companies only focusing on Russian market, are putting Latvian language on packaging, to make it seem like its a product from Latvia 😀
I dont mix it with anything just go straight from the can xD
Even for someone who doesn’t like fish these taste pretty good.
Is this some kind of twisted black humor?
They are delicious!
