Could it be that they’re still practically in the eu?
This is why the DUP are freaking out. If people get used to that sweet, sweet EU trade then they might decide that being in the EU is a great idea and that means…
*Dramatic pause*
…a reunited Ireland is much more likely.
Can’t be having that! So they kick off and fail to work for their constituents.
Are they still inside the single market so able to trade freely with the huge trading block next door to us?
Another nail in the coffin for Brexit then.
HMM.
What’s different between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK which could explain this?
Is it Guinness? Their love of a good stew? Their traditional folk music?
What could it possibly be???
This is all going to change when we get some of those high powered hoovers.
I’m going to guess a lot of transactions are having to be recorded that didnt previously have to be.
i do wonder if the ni protocol is going to have a positive effect on the ni economy, but it seems unlikely that it would have any impact already.
How’s any of that gunna help pay off the drug debt?
Which must be one reason why Johnson wants to renege on the Northern Ireland protocol, it shows why a close link to the EU is a benefit and he cannot have that. He wants to drag Northern Ireland down with the rest of us, sever ties with the EU completely and then turn the UK into a tax haven right off the coast of the EU.
Wonder how much tourism has gone up in Derry since the airing of Derry Girls.
So is Malawi. What’s your point?
Northern Ireland deserves to be kicked out of the UK for this.
Ah, but I checked the previous quarter:
>In Quarter 2 (Apr to June) 2021, all four countries in the UK showed positive quarter-on-quarter growth; Wales increased by 6.2%, Scotland increased by 5.6%, England increased by 4.8% and Northern Ireland increased by 3.0%.
So actually, NI is just playing catch up. This is why media statistics are never to be trusted.
That’s because Britain is going backwards. Brexit freedom!
