Historic Polish church in Ukraine

  1. Is it Polish? It looks very much Orthodox, our Catholic churches have a very different style. Very likely built by Ruthenians (Ukrainians), but the land just happened to be under the Commonwealth’s rule.

  2. This is a historic catholic church in Bila Tserkva, Ukraine. I took this picture from an old Soviet ferris wheel. It was founded by Franciszek Ksawery Branicki. He ruled Bila Tserkva and surrounding lands. He is a controversial figure and many Poles considered him a traitor when he was alive. He built many of the most iconic landmarks in Bila Tserkva.

  3. Wow this church sure looks like a fun time! I’ve never seen one in these colours
