WANA (Feb 14) – A British news agency has reported, citing an informed source, that a U.S. delegation including Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner is scheduled to meet Iranian officials on Tuesday in Geneva, Switzerland.

According to the report published early Saturday, two separate rounds of diplomatic negotiations are planned in Geneva on Tuesday: one focused on Iran-related issues and another concerning the war between Russia and Ukraine.

The U.S. delegation is said to include Steve Witkoff, described as a special envoy of President Donald Trump, and Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law. They are expected to meet Iranian officials on Tuesday morning. Representatives from Oman will reportedly attend the talks in Geneva as mediators.

As of now, no official Iranian source has confirmed or denied the report.

The latest round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States was held on February 6 in Muscat, the capital of Oman, mediated by Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi.

During those talks, the two delegations were stationed in separate locations, with messages exchanged through the Omani intermediary—an approach previously used during periods of tension between Tehran and Washington.

Donald Trump

WANA (Feb 14) – U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday that negotiations with Iran will be successful, while warning of serious consequences if no agreement is reached.

Speaking to reporters, Trump expressed confidence about the outcome of the talks. When asked how certain he was about their success, he replied, “I think they will be successful.”

He went on to claim that if an agreement is not achieved, it would be a “very bad day” for Iran.

Addressing questions about the deployment of another aircraft carrier to the Middle East, Trump said the move would be in preparation for a scenario in which “no agreement is reached.”

U.S. media outlets, citing American officials, reported that the United States will deploy the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford and its accompanying warships to the Middle East. According to the officials, the crew of the USS Gerald R. Ford has been informed of the deployment decision.

According to reports, the carrier is expected to join the USS Abraham Lincoln in the Persian Gulf region.
