Amazon has announced the launch of ‘Iceland on Amazon’ in Belfast, which marks the first time local customers can shop from the retailer via the app, with delivery in as fast as 60 minutes.

The expansion is part of Amazon’s expansion of partnerships with Iceland, Morrisons and Co-op, bringing more choice and convenience to customers across the UK.

The expansion gives customers in the greater Belfast area and other cities including Cardiff, Edinburgh and Nottingham access to the full range of Iceland products, from fresh food to everyday essentials and household items.

Amazon says it is on track to more than double the number of Amazon UK Prime members in 2026 who have access to three or more online grocery delivery options, reaching more than 80% of its members with access to at least one grocery partner.

“We’re continually working to give customers more choice, value and flexibility in how they shop for groceries,” said Russell Jones, director of Amazon Grocery Partnerships.

“More customers across the UK can now choose from a wide range of Iceland groceries and household essentials, with a range of convenient, fast delivery options.”

Tarsem Dhaliwal, chief executive of Iceland Foods, added: “This extension of our partnership with Amazon means that we can serve even more communities nationwide with Iceland’s quality products, all with the convenience of Amazon’s shopping experience.

“And for Northern Ireland in particular, we’re proud to be the first grocery partner to offer a service like this through Amazon’s platform.”

Customers in Belfast and the surrounding areas can now shop thousands of Iceland products directly through Amazon.co.uk or the Amazon app and choose delivery options including same-day or next-day delivery, which are free with Prime membership.
