President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met at the White House, discussing a collaborative strategy to curtail Iran’s oil exports to China, according to Axios. Two U.S. officials familiar with the plan confirmed the agreement, emphasizing full-force maximum pressure against Iran.

Presently, China is the destination for over 80% of Iran’s oil exports. This economic dependency makes any restrictions a significant threat to Iran’s oil revenue. Last week, U.S. and Iranian diplomats engaged in nuclear discussions via Omani mediators, aiming to jumpstart diplomacy.

This diplomatic dialogue comes as the U.S. president augments military presence in the region, preparing for potential prolonged operations against Iran, marking an escalated phase in the U.S.-Iran relations.
