Cincinnati police responded to Vice President JD Vance’s home in East Walnut Hills over the weekend after a tree fell down and damaged nearby power lines.The tree fell sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning, with images shared with WLWT depicting the tree in the middle of William Howard Taft Road. The road was then subsequently closed as crews worked to clean up the debris.It was not immediately clear if damage was done to the vice president’s property. The tree appeared to have fallen from across the street, coming to a rest near a fence on Vance’s front yard.It remains unknown what may have caused the tree to fall, or if anyone from the vice president’s family was home at the time of the incident. A few days ago, Vance appeared in Armenia and Azerbaijan to meet with both countries’ leaders. He also appeared last week in Italy for the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics.
