Massie spoke with ABC News Sunday morning and spoke at length about the Epstein files.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie is not taking his foot off the gas as it relates to the Epstein files, President Trump and the Department of Justice.

In an interview with ABC News Sunday morning, Massie (R-Ky.) criticized Trump for his lack of transparency regarding the files, and had strong words for United States Attorney General Pam Bondi days after a combative congressional hearing. He also had a message for those working against his reelection effort because of his involvement and approach to the Epstein files.

“This is about the Epstein class. The people who are funding these attacks against me may or may not be implicated in these files, but they were certainly rubbing shoulders with people who are. Donald Trump told us that even though he had dinner with these kinds of people in New York City and West Palm Beach that we would be transparent, but he’s not. He’s still in with the Epstein class. This is the Epstein administration.”

On Wednesday, a hearing was held after the DOJ released over 3 million additional files. Powerful figures were named in the files, but not accused of any criminal wrongdoing. Massie called out the DOJ and Bondi for exposing victim identities while over-redacting co-conspirators related to Epstein.

“I don’t think she did very well,” Massie told ABC, “She came with a book full of insults, one for each congressperson. She obviously had one for me.”

Massie did not approve of how Bondi handled herself when confronted with questions as to why the DOJ released files that were not redacted. When asked if he had confidence in Bondi, Massie said that he didn’t believe the AG had confidence in herself.

“She wasn’t confident enough to engage in anything but name-calling in a hearing. So no, I don’t have confidence in her,” he said.

Massie pointed out when he asked Bondi who redacted Leslie Wexner’s name, she couldn’t give him an answer.

When Massie was questioning Bondi, the AG said that Massie had “Trump derangement syndrome.

Trump has been vocal in his opposition to Massie, going as far as endorsing Ed Gallrein to replace Massie as Kentucky’s 4th District Representative. That primary race will be decided May 19.

Trump recently gave an interview where he called Massie “psychotic.”
