Foda to Austrian media: We will have 15 thousand Kosovars in Vienna

Thursday’s Nations League draw pitted the Kosovo national team against some tough opponents.
The Dardanian national team will be part of League B of the Nations League, and will be part of Group 3, along with Austria, the Republic of Ireland and Israel.
The upcoming matches against Austria are causing mixed feelings for Kosovo coach Franco Foda, who will be facing the national team he previously managed.
“Austria was not my first choice; they have exceptional quality. On the other hand, I can’t wait to see my former players again,” the former Austria coach said in an interview with Sky.
Austria will face Kosovo in Vienna on September 27.
“This will be a home match for us, because we are sure that 10,000 or 15,000 Kosovars will support us in Vienna,” said Foda.
However, the stadium where the match will be held has not yet been confirmed.
The return match in Kosovo is scheduled for October 4th.
Foda led Austria in 48 international matches from November 2017 to March 2022, recording 27 wins, 6 draws and 15 losses.
The highlight of his tenure was qualifying for the round of 16 of EURO 2020, where they were eliminated after extra time by eventual champions Italy./Express newspaper/
