There exists an association between people who do graffiti and those who don’t like cops
Huh there is so little cops in Iceland it’s mostly citizens having to deal with stupid American tourists who. Open the car door into the wind!!
One of the biggest irritants is seeing social media posts about how “nice” Icelandic cops are. Seemingly from the 2 Americans who had nice interactions with Icelandic cops while spending 17 minutes running to the Blue Lagoon.
Cops are cops. Cops everywhere are like cops everywhere. Sure, American cops shoot way more people… but take away their guns & they’d basically be Icelandic cops. You find nice ones. You find asshole ones. The majority of cops are somewhere in-between & both. If you give someone the power to “enforce” the law & they will… abuse it.
Younger Icelanders are heavily influenced by the internet and social media and will pick up popular concepts from there wholesale and try to impose them on their own lives.
Interestingly this also happens to some old people who spend all their days on facebook where they will talk about Trump or the liberals.
