Russian forces have again attacked the main building of Kherson State University, delivering a fresh blow to the building overnight.
The rector Oleksandr Spivakovskyi confirmed the attack and noted the serious destruction.

According to the rector, the affected classrooms of the physics-mathematics faculty and rooms housing physics laboratories, where hundreds of physics teachers were trained, were damaged.
It is noted that since April 2022 Kherson State University has been based at Ivano-Frankivsk National University.
As a result of previously recorded shelling on October 12 and 17, 2023, the building sustained damage, and on March 28, 2024 – it suffered further strikes.
In the night of January 13, 2026, Russian occupation troops again carried out a drone attack on the university.
