The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, global imports reached the maximum at 381K tons in 2021; however, from 2022 to 2024, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, crude groundnut oil imports reduced modestly to $623M in 2024. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 60%. Global imports peaked at $748M in 2021; however, from 2022 to 2024, imports remained at a lower figure.
