Australia’s men’s and women’s aerials are up in qualification on day 11 at the Winter Olympics and later on, 16-year-old Ally Hickman will chase a medal in the women’s slopestyle final.

Four Australians will be competing in the women’s aerials, including four-time Olympian Danielle Scott and debutants Abbey Wilcox, Airleigh Frigo and Sidney Stephens. Stephens is a late replacement for Laura Peel, who was ruled out of the Games after a knee injury.

Reilly Flanagan will make his Olympic debut in the men’s aerials qualification. Hickman, the second-youngest member of the Australian team in Milano Cortina, qualified sixth for the slopestyle final and will compete tomorrow morning Australian time.

Welcome to day 11 of the Winter Olympics

Hello, good evening and welcome to our live coverage of day 11 of the Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina.

Yesterday heavy snow limited the action at Livigno, but today there will be some Australian involvement in aerials and slopestyle, plus a range of other sports including curling, ice hockey, speed skating and figure skating.

My name is Andrew McGarry and I will be taking you through the action for the first part of the day before handing over to Luke Pentony.

Let’s get started!
