Longtime ESPN commentator Sarah Spain didn’t hold back.
On the Feb. 6 episode of her “Good Game” podcast, she described what it felt like to sit next to the Vice President at a U.S. women’s hockey match at the Winter Olympics.
“When I see JD Vance’s eyeliner face, I literally feel ill,” Spain said.
She added, “I feel like I just looked at a demon, like the devil, and I don’t even believe in that.”
“My body felt like when you have been spooked and you have a little tingle that feels like, ‘Ooh, something’s not right,’” she continued.
Vance traveled to Italy to lead the official United States presidential delegation for the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
He was Accompanied by Second Lady Usha Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Ambassador Tilman Fertitta, the Vice President attended several events, including the opening ceremony at San Siro Stadium and a preliminary women’s ice hockey game between the U.S. and the Czech Republic.
During his visit, Vance met with U.S. athletes, describing the Olympics as a rare event that “unites the entire country” regardless of political affiliation.
