The article claiming trans women preyed on women, based on the account of a serial rapist didn’t have good standards? Shocked I tell you. Shocked
Why do so many terfs have access to column inches? The vast majority of people couldn’t care less about trans people living their lives, but it seems like every columnist in England has this very specific axe to grind.
No. Surely not. I am floored
Honestly the survey/poll that was shambolic! I’ve seen Reddit polls operated better! You’d think there should be rules when using “statistics” that a journalist must at least link to the original data and mission statement of those who conducted and commissioned it!
Long overdue and the amendments they’ve made don’t really go far enough – no mention of Get The L Out (or the LGB alliance, for that matter) being an *explicitly* anti-trans group and Angela C. Wild running a shop selling a [load of transphobic merchandise](https://wildwomynworkshop.com/category-product/anti-gender/), and the outright lie of “I contacted several other high profile trans women who have either written or spoken about sex and relationships. None of them wanted to speak to me but my editors and I felt it was important to reflect some of their views in this piece” is still present.
But hey. Well done to the BBC for doing the absolute bare minimum, and in less than a full year! I suggest everyone who’s been complaining to these idiots about this article keep it up.
Another reason not to pay the TV licence
From an organisation as trusted as the BBC too. That article could have caused a lot of damage if people took it to be true and representative of all trans women. Not only should all traces of it be scrubbed from the internet but an apology should also be on the front page.
Pinknews has its own vested interests..
This was an absolutely filthy article.
Next month, there’ll be another, which it will also take them months to determine fell below their ‘consistent’ editorial standards.
It’s pretty clear that transphobic editors at the BBC are more than happy to flaunt the guidelines if it means they get to push their hate agenda.
