Obvious move for any country that values its independence from aggressive militarized right wing neighbour committed to its imperial history with no respect for international law and a history of waging hybrid warfare and destabilization via intelligence agencies and local paid for or deluded agents of influence.
The voting on this in Ireland is a lot closer than people think. It would pass if it was brought to referendum by a well liked and trusted leader.
However, unlike the Social Democrats they have in power in Finland and Denmark, we don’t have a well liked and trusted leader.

Not surprised. There are a lot protests in Sweden and Finland about nato membership but it is mostly hidden by our media. The citizens of both countries should be voting on the matter but the powers that be are forcing this on the people.
idk, as much as I’m interested in self defense, we shouldn’t be forced into any future wars the eu chooses to fight. I would be in favour of cooperating with eu forces, but we shouldn’t be forced into it

Russia is at war with us since 2014 at the very least and it’s only begun to dawn on us in the West.

Commits genocide.

Look at how they treat there own people ffs; tossing them into a meat grinder.
Go live in Russia or China if the EU , where everyone in the world sees to want to live, has become an impossible , totalitarian regime that you cannot endure.
Or better still. Look deep into your own past trauma and existentially examine your deep sense of ‘somethings not right here’ and realise that’s your own personal shit that you cannot identify , much less acknowledge that you project onto world geopolitics.
Then go have a shave with an Occam razor.
