MILWAUKEE — Get ready to rock out in Milwaukee. Summerfest announced the lineup for this year on Thursday.
This year’s festivities will be spread out over three weekends — June 18-20, June 25-27 and July 2-4 — and will feature some of music’s biggest names.
The festival will actually kick off earlier than that, with country music legend Garth Brooks opening things up on June 16-17. Headliners for the first weekend are Megan Moroney, Don Toliver and Carin León.
The second weekend is headlined by Ed Sheeran, Cody Johnson and Post Malone while the final weekend features headliners Muse, Alex Warren and Jelly Roll.
Many of the headliners, such as Sheeran and Post Malone, had already been announced. However, much of the fun of Summerfest is in the acts that aren’t headlining. And this year, that group is stacked.
The first weekend is set to feature performances from Styx and former Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth while the second weekend will include The Roots, former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson and Audrey Nuna, the voice of Mira in the hit film KPop Demon Hunters.
The final weekend has performances from Sean Paul, All Time Low, Flo Rida and Gin Blossoms.
