The UK’s War on Cocaine is Intensifying

  1. I don’t understand coke. The hand full of times I’ve tried it I’ve had a bit too much energy, a slight paranoia, uncomfortable heart rate and far too much confidence. Not a particularly pleasant feeling. Not trying to advocate for recreational drug use but if you’re going to damage your brain and body might as well do it with something that’s actually fun like MDMA or Acid.

I wonder why they still seem to believe the solution is stricter policing when we have so many examples of how that simply doesn’t work from at home and around the world. Hear it from a former drug addict, poor quality of life and inadequate education contribute hugely to problem drug use. If people are happier they are far less likely to use substances at all and those who do will be more harm reduction orientated because they have more to live for. There’s a huge difference in consequence between occasional recreational use by a 25+ year old and someone trying to escape their miserable reality.
