What’s far more likely is the courts will say that it’s unlawful and block it, which will give the government the fuel for their culture war against activist left-wing lawyers.
It seems the whole point of the stupid and cruel policy, which we know the civil service don’t think is value for money, and required Patel to give a ministerial direction* to implement it.
* It’s almost unheard of for Home Office civil servants to require formal ministerial directions, before spending money, which suggests it’s a really shitty policy.
The better solution would be to stop the flow we know the sources Med,Turkey,France help Invest in Frontex and help the EU stop this mass migration then when the situation for current refugees is safe return them non negotiable easing up resources for inevitable next wave this will be a permanant European problem we should work with them to stop future waves.
