Federal law enforcement officers say they have arrested an illegal immigrant in Macomb County earlier this month.

According to the U.S. Border Patrol Detroit Station, the immigrant was from Mexico who was arrested Feb. 13 on a felony re-entry charge in Warren, officials said in a social media post.

In a separate case, agents arrested an illegal immigrant from Venezuela in Harper Woods. He was also arrested on a felony re-entry charge.

The Border Patrol said both of the arrested individuals are being processed for deportation.

Illegal re-entry is a federal felony that involves a person who was previously removed or deported and then returns to the U.S. without authorization.

No further information on the arrests was released.
