Feels like we’ve got the numbers in now, and a VonC is triggered. When May was forced out, there were 26 letters publicly submitted and a smaller majority, so if we scale up to reflect Johnson’s 80-seat majority we’d expect to see 28 or 29 public letters before the trigger is met. I think we’ll see a vote early next week, and it’ll be interesting to see whether Johnson survives that or faces a leadership challenge.
Save big dog – he’s Labour’s best asset
He is a bafoon and should of never been voted in.
Really a bit sad that the Tories are doing the right thing.
It would be better for everyone else next election if they keep Boris installed.
I don’t want to see an undeserved ‘clean slate’ happen.
Johnson will decide for himself whether to stay or go and no one will change his mind on that. He will stay on until the next election unless forced out, he has no shame over his actions and 28 MPs will not change his mind; 128 MPs would not change his mind. The Tories must know this as I doubt Johnson’s love of power is a little known secret amongst them.
Realistically he isn’t going to get ousted from his own party for two reasons. They have nobody who can replace him and also he’s probably going to win the next general election. Starmer has just as many if not more people who absolutely despise him but Starmers haters come from both the left and right
