Turkey’s annual inflation soars to highest since 1998

  1. I know what I am about to say has nothing to do with the economy of my country but why do media outlets always use photos of women with hijabs when they make an article about us. This is like the sixth time I witness something like this. Yes I know there are a lot of religious and conservative people in turkey, there always have been, but sometimes people forget about what my country’s and our father’s principles were. just so you guys know thanks to our hero our country does not has a religion. yes, the majority is Muslim but no article in the constitution says the religion of Turkey is Islam. (it used to say that btw, but what a great leader Atatürk is). neither prime ministers nor presidents swear on the holy Quran, unlike the USA. I was shocked when I first saw a president swear an oath to the bible in the USA. I thought they had separated ruling a country from religion just like western European countries did.
