WASHINGTON (TNND) — An old tweet from conservative activist Charlie Kirk resurfaced as a potential strike on Iran looms on the horizon.
Kirk posted a poll on June 12, 2025 with the question: Should the US get involved in Israel’s war against Iran?
The end results showed that 89.7% said no and 10.3% said yes.
President Donald Trump said Friday that he was considering a limited military strike on Iran to pressure leaders int a deal over its nuclear program.
“I guess I can say, I am considering that,” Trump said, after being asked by a reporter about the matter.
Trump said earlier this week that a decision about Iran would come in the next 10 days.
Kirk’s poll from a year ago resurfaced and is being posted by X users.
“Charlie Kirk was the last mainstream conservative pundit willing to speak out against the possibility of regime change in Iran,” another user wrote.
Conservative commentator Jack Posobiac shared an old video of Kirk being critical of getting involved with Iran.
“So we are just going to take out the Ayatollah?” Kirk said.
“Oh really! What next? What happens after regime change?”
Charlie Kirk was killed last year while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University.
