The International Committee of the Red Cross has said it has received more than 200,000 inquiries from families of Ukrainians and Russians regarding people who went missing as a result of the war. This information was voiced by ICRC Director-General Pierre Krähenbühl during an interview with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. In the organization’s database there are tens of thousands of Ukrainians recorded as missing due to the fighting. The total number of inquiries from Ukrainian and Russian families regarding missing persons under special circumstances exceeds 200,000.
