President Donald Trump’s wife, Melania Trump, seemed to dress for herself rather than the occasion when the POTUS and FLOTUS attended the Governors Dinner at the White House over the weekend.
Fox News caught footage of Mr. and Mrs. Trump entering the black-tie event, with only one of them being seen in the proper attire, and it wasn’t Melania, 55. Although the Slovenian former model looked stylish in her ensemble, it didn’t seem to fit the dress code of the night since people in the room wore formal dresses and suits.
Even her commander-in-chief husband Trump, 79, who often tries to hide his “weaknesses,” was in a dashing black tuxedo, like the other men at the dinner.

Meanwhile, unlike the other women at the function who donned glamorous evening attire, Melania came to the party in sparkly high-waist metallic silver pants, and a long-sleeve black bowtie blouse. Her blouse being tucked in her pants accentuated her slim waist.
Melania’s long dark brunette hair was styled in her signature bouncy loose body wave, and she sported full-face glam. Fox News shared the clip of the Trumps walking into the dinner on the media brand’s official X, formerly known as Twitter, account, where much discussion was sparked over Melania’s look.

“Is she wearing a pair of trousers with no belt to a formal dinner?” one asked on X, as another added, “WTF is Melania wearing, and what is the dress code for this event? If it’s black tie, why aren’t all the men in tuxedos, and what is that short woman wearing? What a visual mess.”
Another added, “Looks like she’s going on a picnic. How disgraceful,” while a fourth quipped, “Wonder how much the aluminum foil pants cost.”
One also joked, “Aluminum foil slacks? A propos for roasting the non-flotus,” and someone else expressed: “He’s in black tie and she’s wearing pants. He must not have paid her enough to get in a gown.”
Amid of the commenters who rebuked Melania’s outfit choice for the Governors Dinner at the White House, there were some who admitted they believed her appearance was suitable.
“Class and elegance back in the White House Trump & Melania looking sharp for the Governors Dinner!” an X user expressed. One revealed, “Class, elegance, and zero apologies. That’s how you host the Governors Dinner.” there was one that also remarked: “First Lady Melania Trump looks very classy.”
While at the dinner, Trump addressed his wife Melania, saying, “I told my … now I can say ‘my movie star wife.’ I have to live with another title now” before he threw out his arms.
