Tbh I’ve been though Dublin airport about 4 times in the past 6 months and I’ve only ever had to wait 15 minutes max. Obviously the other day was a bad case but apart from that i hear people complain that there are perpetually long queues at Dublin airport but there haven’t been in my experience.
February, Arrived three hours early, had to wait for bag drop to open two hours before flight, spent another 80 mins in the security queue. Aerligus flight to Frankfurt so a hike to the gate which is in terminal one , just about made it onto the plane. Missed the customary pint in the airport, had visions of a persual round duty free too.
Dropped a friend off on Sunday for at 8 for 11.30 transatlantic flight. Flight was delayed taking off so he managed to make it. Terrible experience.
Hoping it’s all sorted soon, looking forward to getting away with my wife in July.
“Isn’t this the line for Frank Sinatra?”
Queue times in Dublin Airport are so long there are people in it who joined to buy Michael Jackson tickets from the Virgin Megastore.
If they forget to play Whiskey in the Jar this time I’m gonna riot
Sad but True.
31.05, Terminal 1, 11am, 45 Minute wait, very busy airport but organized
Long enough to be off to never-never land.
I’ve been through a few times in the last month and just sauntered through, barely with a pause in my walking speed for security. It seems highly variable. Although I always avoid morning flights due to not being able to wake up early, so maybe that’s a part of it.
It’s more of a shot show them quiz with Kevin
I’m flying in from NYC on Friday. I’m just gonna get back on line for my return trip next Tuesday
I know it’s a fun topic here but my family was just stuck in Spain for 50 hours because the flight they were to get was stuck in Dublin Airport and this comes from the staff shortages there.
The knock on from the queues is being felt where Irish airlines land too
I left Dublin yesterday afternoon and only had to wait because I was going to the statea and had to go through the covid test nonsense at the ticket counter. The plane itself was delayed for about an hour 16:40 became 17:25 and boarding was slow. Seemed to be how all the flights were to the USA.
I was there right on a Tuesday and the check in queue was insane and circled round twice, but if you had a carry-on it was only a few minutes. Strange.
