Gardaí to be pulled from streets to courtroom after significant High Court ruling

  1. More evidence of an out of date legal system dictating how the state should be organised. Root and branch reform needed.

  2. The real purpose of our legal system is to extract fees from the country for itself. While justice is sometimes done, it is never the objective. Fees are the sole objective and they always get paid, regardless of whether justice was done.

Look at all of the suspended sentences, frivolous claims and white collar criminals that completely get away with it.

This is the only way it all makes sense.

  3. The real news here is that Ireland is still dragging people to the courts over possession of small quantities of cannabis.

  4. >Until now a court presenter system has been widely used, under which an officer not directly involved in a case has been able to present the facts to the court where the defendant has **entered a guilty plea**.

    What an utterly idiotic ruling.
