It doesn’t matter what compilation videos I watch of his, this guy amazes me every time.
Yet, he’s “standard” for Luxembourg!
And as a monolingual, attempting with French and Dutch, I am in awe of him and others. Every single day
I started this dude’s wiki page
This is actually rather… hot hahaa
Oh, hey, it’s time for the regular Phillip Crowther post again.
I can’t even master my own mother tongue.
Screw Jang de Blannen or Grand-Duc Jean, this guy is our national hero!
Love this guy!
Met quite a lot of Luxembourgers who speak Six languages. It’s not rare. Even somewhat standard among immigrant households
* 3 languages from the country
* 1 language which you need to function in the world (English)
* 2 languages from each immigrant-parent
Very standard setup here.
I live in a village with some households who have ex. a Russian mother and Italian father raising two kids whom already speak five. Or a Korean guy with a Polish girlfriend. If they ever end up having kids–those kids will also speak five. with English coming somewhere along the way. Viola. Six. It’s quite “normal”
