This is a growing danger – Well-funded political organisations in the US trying to impose their home-grown fights on us and other countries. They don’t respect us enough to keep to themselves. Next thing you know we’ll have groups with links to the US demanding gun-laws be relaxed. They’ll buy time on GB news or whoever and get the pundits to rant “Isn’t it my right as an Englishman to own as many guns as I want???? Just asking questions here!!!!”

Back in the distant pre-internet past, one of our (catholic school) teachers invited a woman from SPUC to talk to us sixth-formers, who proceeded to show us graphic slides and hand round little plastic foetuses with fully formed human faces.
Even in the day of limited information, this went down like a cup of cold sick.
So despite American christian fundamentalists doing their usual cultural imperialism schtick, I think today’s kids will be ok.
