The Black Caps have beaten Sri Lanka by 61 runs in their World Cup Super Eight game in Colombo.
After being put into bat New Zealand recovered from 84 for 6 to make 168 for 7, with Mitchell Santner top scoring with 47, while Rachin Ravindra made 32 and Cole McConchie 31.
Ravindra also took four wickets as Sri Lanka finished on 107 for 8.
New Zealand are second in the group with three points, while Sri Lanka are eliminated from semi-final contention.
New Zealand’s last Super Eight game is against already qualified England on Saturday morning.
