The Indiana State Board of Animal Health is monitoring avian influenza at Wabash Valley farms.

A commercial turkey flock of 30,000 birds is quarantined in Daviess County.

A surveillance zone is now active in parts of Daviess and Martin counties.

Staff members will be reaching out to nearby flock owners to offer testing.

Earlier this month, another flock of turkeys in Sullivan County tested positive for avian influenza, according to the Board of Animal Health’s dashboard.

That flock of more than 45,000 birds has been depopulated.
