Hi all,I’ve always enjoyed doing woodworking and unfortunately, I’m outgrowing my balcony. I discovered a site called [makerbook.io](https://makerbook.io) and searched Finland and found [https://www.vuokraverstas.com/](https://www.vuokraverstas.com/). It sounds promising. I sent an email to them about a week ago but still haven’t gotten any reply. Their facebook page looks pretty nice but the last update was nearly a year ago. I’m not sure if it’s still open given the old post and lack of reply. And it’s also quite expensive: 100/month.
I’m just wondering if anyone here as experience with this place, or even other places that offers the ability for people to do some of their own work? Any recommendations or ideas would be welcome.
I should say that I’m looking for a space that has some quite serious tools/equipment: table saw, surface planer, jointer, etc.
Thank you

You could try to see if local adult education center would have the needed tools and a course on how to use them.

Have you heard of hacklab? It’s a community workspace with a reasonable membership fee https://hacklab.fi/index_en.html I don’t know from personal experience, but I have friends that are regulars at the local branch.
They may not have all the equipment you’re after, but if you’re in the capital area, [Iso Omena Library in Espoo has a woodworking makerspace](https://www.helmet.fi/en-US/Libraries_and_services/Iso_Omena_library/In_Iso_Omena/Paja(127002)) that is free to use, so it could be worth checking out. (You can find more info on all capital area library makerspaces, with equipment ranging from 3D printers to vinyl cutters and musical instruments [here](https://www.helmet.fi/en-US/Libraries_and_services/Library_Makerspace).)
