The Air Defense of Ukraine has successfully repelled another missile-and-drone attack, destroying two Russian Zircon missiles, four ballistic missiles, 24 cruise missiles, two X-69 missiles, and 374 drones. The data were confirmed by the air defense forces via the official Telegram channel.

According to the information from the Ukrainian Air Forces, the operational assessment of the air space is being updated, and the data are aligned as of the latest update in the situation.

Nature of the Attacks and Main Directions

The assault began from several directions. From the temporarily occupied Crimea, anti-ship Zircons were used, and from the Bryansk and Rostov regions 11 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles were launched. Also in the air rose 24 X-101 cruise missiles (launch areas – Vologda region), two guided air-to-surface missiles X-69, and about 420 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types were recorded from various directions: Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Orel, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtersk (RF) and Gvardeyske (Crimea).

Air defense units, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces responded to the strike and repelled it in the air.

According to preliminary data as of 10:00 on Thursday, February 26, the defense forces destroyed or suppressed two Zircons, four Iskander-M/S-400 missiles, 24 X-101 missiles, two X-69 missiles, and 374 drones.

Five ballistic missiles and 46 attack drones were recorded hitting 32 locations, and debris fell at 15 locations. Information regarding individual missiles is being clarified; the attack continues, and enemy UAVs remain in the airspace.

It is also reported that Kyiv suffered missile and drone strikes: damage to residential buildings has been recorded, and fires have been extinguished.
