WFMS biology teachers Kyle Maurelli and Christina Nugent hosted the “A Taste of Italy” Student Bistro as a PBIS award for students “caught being good.”
The Student Bistro recently returned to the William Floyd Middle School faculty lounge for “A Taste of Italy!” This yearly tradition, sponsored by the faculty, staff and administration through the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program, allows students who earned Colonial Cash for getting “caught being good” to enjoy a catered luncheon! This fun experience provides students with a home-cooked meal prepared and served by their teachers, reinforcing William Floyd Middle School’s commitment to building meaningful relationships and celebrating every student.
Hosted by biology teachers Kyle Maurelli and Christina Nugent, the menu featured homemade meatballs, baked ziti, garlic bread, and fresh salad. Throughout the event, teachers acted as servers, creating a warm and welcoming environment that showed students just how valued, supported, and special they are within their school community and beyond.
Special thanks to the faculty and staff who donated and prepared the food for this event! Congratulations to the students and keep doing the right thing!
