My town had a bunch of anti abortion protestors giving out NSFL leaflets in town over the weekend. We don’t need that rubbish over here.

Fucking sucks when some of America problems bleed over to the UK give a little while and these people will fuck off and forget about it and I extremely doubt that it’ll ever effect UK laws to abortion.

They’ve always been here. I’ve seen them holding candles and shaming women in greater Manchester since the early oughts.
I cannot find the group right now but there is an organisation you can join where people can request that you walk to the clinic door with them past the protestors, a wonderful service I wish we didn’t need.
Just get the pro-life protesters to adopt all the unwanted babies. Simples. /s

Protesting will soon be outlawed anyway; thanks to the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022. No need to make specific buffer zones.
Silly question, but why don’t these places just have a system where only those with an appointment can drive in but no-one else can remain on the property? And having driven onto the property, it’s high-fenced so you can’t see in.
So those having an abortion aren’t subject to any harassment because by the time they get out of their car they’d be out of sight from those evil protesters?

Me and the missis walked passed an abortion clinic a few years ago. I didn’t even know what the place was until the Nun who was stood outside threw herself at my girlfriends feet and started praying. We were only walking past!
Buffer zones ARE needed, regardless of the viewpoints of anybody. People going into these clinics are not necessarily going in there for abortions but for varying other medical issues.
