Smoking three times more prevalent among lower socio-economic groups

  1. Poor people have less to live for.

In a motivational sort of sense. Rich people might be waiting to inherit something or might be saving. Alot if poor people just sitting in the house waiting to die. Having the odd smoke.

Never educated to manage money or given career progression tips and connections. Just taught how to add, read and tell a fella in Irish about your family in a pre taught script. Bit of Geogrephy and Jesus and the GPO.

A common saying would be ah shure you could get hit by a bus tomorrow from the elders in the area.

    Why wouldn’t they.

It’s like the government only keep them around incase there is a shortage of labourers during building booms.

  2. Hardly shocking, im guessing its the same with excess drinking and then complaining that they have nothing

  3. I don’t even understand how any non rich person can afford to smoke.
The average smoker spends about €300 per month

  4. On the other end of the spectrum you have rich girls hooting those 7 euro vapes in a smoking area every night out

  5. I smoked till august 13th last year and now I reckon I’ve saved like erm a lot of money it’s honestly a huge amount.
If you haven’t quit yet get on the patches.. it is like 90% (maybe more) cheaper.

  6. Addiction in general is something more prevalent among lower socio-economic groups. People whose life is shit go for easy escapes and instant gratification.

  7. I switched to vaping a couple years back and never been happier honestly. No smell and you can pop open your window and vape out the window if the weather is horrible outside. I buy my self a 5 pack of liquid for 20 euro and it lasts me 1 and half weeks to 2 weeks. Way cheaper than smoking

  8. I used to pay €14 for a packet, now I spend less buying for €75 a sleeve off my lad. Still broke but my wallet feels lil better lol
