BAXTER — A team of 19 lakes area individuals are teaming up in mid-June to serve in central Poland on a short-term mission trip.
Part of their fundraising effort is to host a “Poland Missions” night from 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 16, at the Pizza Ranch in Baxter.
A portion of the proceeds from dine-in and take-out orders will go toward the trip when customers mention the Poland team. The focus of the mission trip is to support a training center and camp outreach in Poznan, Poland, called Lake Epic.
The individuals raising funds will be on site the night of the fundraiser serving tables and will be available to answer questions.
Lake Epic started limited operations last summer, hosting among others, a large group of Ukrainian youth. It is a training and retreat center designed to foster growth, development and evangelism is Northwest Poland.
It functions as a hub for Impact Poland pastors, young believers and churches to hold camps, conferences and restoration retreats, such as it was for the Ukrainian youth.
The team is led by Pastor Vlad Wogen, from Pequot Lakes Baptist Church, with Amy Drown being the assistant trip leader.
For more information about the fundraiser or supporting the trip, Wogen and Drown are available at the church office at 218-568-4794 or visit
